Moscow urges "not to sleep" the time of the attack of ISIS against the Central Asia

Moscow urged "not to oversleep the moment" when fighters of the Islamic state (banned in Russia) will attack Central Asia, the danger of this scenario has increased, said the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation, the head of the Second Asia Department at the Russian foreign Ministry Zamir Kabulov.

He stressed that "ISIS came to Afghanistan not for Jihad against the Americans" and to create "a bridgehead for further expansion in Central Asia".

"This is serious. I'm not saying that they are already attacking Central Asia, they are preparing. If we miss this point, then we get a really big force with which we have had to work on the border on the Amu Darya and the river Pang large forces – both our allies in the CSTO and the CIS," said Kabulov, the TV channel "Russia 24".

Earlier research firm Soufan Group published a report according to which Russia leads in the number of foreigners fighting in the ranks of ISIS in Iraq and Syria.

According to estimates of authors of the report, for the Islamic state as of October 2017 fighting 3417 citizens of the Russian Federation. The second largest group are immigrants from Saudi Arabia — 3244 person. In third place Jordan with 3000 soldiers.
