Fields mythology

The scale of the conflict, embodied in artillery duels in the South-East of Ukraine, obviously involves not only the Russian-Ukrainian border. This conflict is much wider, deeper and older than armed confrontation, and it is not in contradiction between the geopolitical interests of Russia and the USA. Moreover, the contradiction here is merely the catalyst of the conflict that we see in the field of information warfare.

The fighting in the South-East and battles in the information field are of a philosophical character. However, unlike the conflict of worldviews in the great Patriotic war, today, a fierce struggle is carried out in several other forms. Ideological confrontation here is of a different nature than the conflicts in mid-century. If Ukrainian nationalism forms a very different ideological projects in the range of, relatively speaking, "Freedom" - "SLEEP", where one flank is ethnocentric, based on the "Bandera" political tradition of the party, and on the other flank is a neo-Nazi organization conditionally an international ideology, not giving much importance to the language issue, but in mobilizing their ranks of Russians from Russia as half-brothers, the ideological figure of the resistance in "Novorossiya" is much more eclectic in nature. The Communists, the nationalists, the Imperials and even DRG, formed by neo-Nazis — and despite the difference of ideologies, warriors of Novorossiya United by a certain structure field of ideas, not limited to only one idea of Novorossiya.

Speaking about the General context of the conflict, we note the flow of it between the two fields of ideas that temporarily for convenience we will call "discursive formations". Besides the fact that this definition is most faceless encompasses the understanding of these fields (and this impersonality allows to operationalize the concept when specific needs arise), it can be placed in a very convenient to analyze the context. American political scientist K. Calhoun in the book "Nationalism", crowning his many years of research of cases of natalensis, defines nationalism as a discursive formation from which grows the actual national movement and then a national state. If this understanding of nationalism we will move to the post-Soviet space, meet interesting phenomenon. All non-Russian nationalism (Russian too multifaceted to be included in the composition of the objects of our consideration) the post-Soviet space fit in one discursive formation, that is, one typical structure of ideology. Software texts, for example, Tatar and Mordvin nationalists differ in the proposed factice, but identical in terms of structure, rhetoric and offer a range of other indicators.

In essence, the ideology of non-Russian nationalism is part of a single system of ideas, which we now allow ourselves to be called mythological system. In this mythology there is a common perception of Moscow, the Russian perception of a single, unified understanding of the goals of the struggle. In a strange way in a somewhat modified form of this rhetoric is characteristic of the Russian liberal intelligentsia. In times of severe crises of statehood this mythological system brighter shows its contours. The most striking (so far) is a Testament to the importance of this phenomenon we my be called the heyday of the "anti-Imperial" rhetoric in the 90's and the implementation of lasting political Union between the national republics in those years.

Mythological system, generating a General framework for non-Russian nationalism in the post-Soviet space we allow ourselves to be called "liberation". In today's conflict it was clearly expressed from the Pro-Ukrainian forces, including radical Russian nationalists, ready to blow the Empire to build the Russian state. In the republics of the rhetoric marginalized, but do not forget that a sudden turn to nationalism can happen in any crisis, the Russian state situation. Speaking of Ukrainian nationalism, there is the overall structure of an anti-Imperial field is not disturbed even by the willingness to take SLEEP in the Ukraine Voronezh and Smolensk land: in this context, Russia as Empire looks bad not because it is an Empire, and because it is "outdated".

Against this mythological system called "Imperial" mythology. It tends to create major and universalistic ideological projects, so trying to create something new here are often eclectic in nature. This eclecticism is very fully proved in the new Russia seemed a good informational weapons: the socialists are going to war to avenge the death of Lenin and to revive the USSR (the national symbol LNR clearly speaks about the ideology of the Republic), the Eurasians going on to build an Empire, the monarchists go, because Shooters.

The fault line goes between these mythological systems and the resulting life and political priorities. The degree of intransigence here is obviously high, and end this fight a new balance of power: mythological system, unlike ideology, is much more stable and living a very long time.

The commitment of "liberation" mythology is often thought of as a willingness to betray their country, but actually it is not so: again depends on the context. When the state should move to a new, for example, more decentralised quality and ripe for this transition, the correct articulation of the liberation mythology allows you to provide a single structure of sovereignty within a large polity, and to maintain a unified public space. Equal and on the contrary, the marginalization of the discourses built on this mythology, popular during the periods of centralization of the state.
External actor seeks to influence the ideology of belonging to both fields. We used to think that the enemy can only affect the centrifugal aspirations: but hardly it so. Returning to the Ukrainian conflict, is to say that the actualization of "Imperial" rhetoric and Imperial myths, bringing them to a state of extreme tension, has played a major role in fuelling the war, and — especially - in the maturation of Ukrainian national identity, the maturation of the "right" direction — hatred of Russia, which is gaining new ground with each coffin that arrived from the zone ATO. The collapse of Imperial space by the hands of the adepts of the idea of Empire — it's aerobatics. It's hard to believe that here did without the invisible hands of the West (Zionists of the state Department, of reptiles): obvious only the fact that losing the battle at home.
