Material posted: Publication date: 27-03-2011

Some time ago on our site published the first version of this work. But time goes on and the author understands that the required changes, revision and extensive interpretation of certain events. Interesting work demands continue - so it turns out the new, expanded and updated version.

This paper does not purport to be a comprehensive review, political theory, and the consideration of all the conflicts of our time. Its objectives are to:

  1. To identify regularities of change of vector of political thought and their causes.
  2. To analyze from the point of view of the existing theories of the major conflicts of our time, evaluating these theories as practical instruments of the research.
  3. To specify the weaknesses of theories. To offer their own interpretations.

For obvious reasons, not included consideration of the theory that are not put into wide circulation in political science, very populist or marginal. For example, the theory of the "Atlanticist – mediavista". Not considered "the theory of the chessboard" Brzezinski, because she "borrowed" from Richelieu, who created the theory with a similar title and content. Criticism of this theory is equally extensive and has a lot of centuries, like the history of criticism of the main provisions of Malthus.

Taken for consideration only the basic theory, most often appearing when addressing conflict. The stated position, judgment, criticism, and own the author's conclusions should be considered only as an introduction to contemporary political science.
