In this regard, the country welcomes a new period in the strategic partnership based on the principles of trust and common interests."

The Declaration contains the commitment of countries to confront joint challenges, especially extremism, "which endanger the stability and security in the middle East". Riyadh and Washington indicate a General desire to "embark on new initiatives for the development of defence cooperation, countering extremist ideology and preventing the financing of terrorist groups."

Countries agreed to form a joint consultative group which will meet at least once per year to determine areas of bilateral cooperation. It will oversee the US President and king Salman bin Abdul Aziz al Saud or their authorized persons.

Answering journalists ' questions about expectations in connection with his re-election to the post Hassan Rouhani al-jubayr, said: "the Elections in Iran and the re-election of Rouhani is purely an internal matter, and more of us are not interested in individual people, and specific actions of this country."

The head of the Saudi foreign Ministry again accused Tehran of supporting terrorism and the ongoing intervention in the region. "Iran interferes in the Affairs of Arab States and supports terrorism (al-Qaeda and the Taliban - both organizations are banned in Russia), he created the largest terrorist organization "Hezbollah", said al-Jubeir. They are sponsoring terrorists in Syria and Yemen to carry out terrorist acts, including in my country. It has nothing to do with the principles of good neighbourliness, did not correlate with the behavior of the state, which wants normal relations".

"We look forward to seeing Iran, which respects peace, international law and does not interfere in the Affairs of others, - said the Minister. But the Iran that we see today is completely different". In this regard, al-jubayr has urged to impose new sanctions against Tehran "over its support of terrorism."

For its part, as stated Tillerson, the United States intends to strengthen the defence potential of the Arab monarchies, so they can resist Iranian influence. However, the us diplomat expressed hope that "Rouhani during his second term as head of state will eliminate the network of terrorist organizations and cease to provide financial support to extremist groups". Tillerson also noted that the United States hopes that "when Rouhani Iran completes testing of ballistic missiles."
