"For the second year in a row of new aircraft supplied to the troops at a faster pace and today 75% of the units of the army aviation is fully equipped with new models of aircraft, in other parts of modernized equipment" – quoted the press service of the defense Ministry chief of Department of combat training of army aviation HQs of major-General Oleg Chesnokov.

Today, armed with army aviation HQs are some of the best helicopters in the world, such as the Ka-52 alligator, Mi-28N "Night hunter", Mi-35M, Mi-26, Mi-8 and its modern modifications, as well as training helicopters "Ansat-U" and Ka-226.
