The MiG-31, despite his advanced age, is still considered a promising combat aircraft. What to say if in the world so far nobody has been able to do anything like that. As noted by Colonel Anatoly Ulyanov, the aircraft is able to easily overtake a cruise missile: the speed of the MiG-31, even in the land is 1500 kilometers per hour, while the missiles fly to dozvole.

It is important to note that the crews of the Russian VKS, flying on these machines, learn to hit a modern means of air attack, including promising.

As reported late last year, the Deputy defense Minister of Russia Yuri Borisov, during his working trip to the aircraft plant "Sokol", with this company the military has a long contract for repair and restoration with the life extension of MiG-31 to the level of MiG-31BM.
