The defense Ministry ordered from Samara RCC "Progress" a new system of space exploration
Material posted: Publication date: 29-07-2016
As it became known"", in 2019, the Russian defense Ministry plans to begin deployment of optical-electronic intelligence, the basis of which will be the latest spacecraft of the "Hrazdan". They will replace the satellites of the type "Person", which the military had high hopes in the early 2000s, but was able to obtain only a few years ago.

That the cosmic forces of the Russian Federation and the Samara space-rocket center "Progress" are consulting on the technical design of satellites 14Ф156 "Hrazdan", "b" told two well-informed source in the industry, and affirmed the interlocutor of Kommersant in the military. Information in open sources about the devices of this type are very few. For example, "product 14Ф156" appears in the updated procurement plan of goods, works and services on the official website of "Progress". It is also known that in July 2015, the company ordered a study whose objective was to identify the imported and withdrawn from the production of electronic components used in on-Board equipment products 14Ф156, as well as parts subject to export restrictions". To obtain official information from the "Progress" yesterday failed, the representative of the space forces to review the "b" was unavailable.

Satellites of the "Hrazdan" are the devices of optical-electronic reconnaissance of the next generation. They will replace the currently operating on-orbit satellites of the type "Person". In 2008-2015, the military launched three such apparatus, however to date there are only two of them. The first was lost in 2008, a few months after launch as a result of failure of the electronic components. The second and third devices (launched in June 2013 and June 2015) are functioning normally and, according to "Kommersant", are actively involved in the operations of the armed forces of the Russian Federation in Syria.

They provide General staff of the armed forces operational images with detailed resolution. The military claimed that the armed forces need to substantially increase the orbital group of optical reconnaissance satellites is particularly evident during the Syrian campaign. According to "Kommersant", the need for operational space monitoring of the situation at the defense Ministry was so great that it took to complete military tasks to civilian vehicles of remote sensing of the families of "Resource" and "Canopus".

Snapshots from spacecraft since the mid-1990s was one of the weaknesses of the space forces: the Soviet satellites of the "Neman" worked in orbit for not more than two years, while the warranty period of American Crystal and the Crystal was Improved up to ten years. After 2001, the last "Neman" was orbited, the military had to rely on photo-reconnaissance satellites of the type "Cobalt", exposed film which returned to earth in special capsules, prizemlilsya on parachutes in the Orenburg region,— prompt receipt of information of speech to go then just could not. The first "Person" was supposed to be in orbit in 2003, however, due to the need for additional test dates were repeatedly pushed back — in the end, the interruption in the use of the defense Ministry apparatus, optical reconnaissance of nearly ten years.

Its characteristics are "Hrazdan" is "head and shoulders above all his predecessors", says a high-ranking source "" in the industry: we'll have an entirely new payload, high-speed radio channel with additional protection. On the third and subsequent devices will be a new telescope with a diameter of over 2 m, the optics for which will not Leningrad optical and mechanical Union named after Lenin (involved in the creation of a "Person"), and the Krasnogorsk plant named after Zverev. According to preliminary plans, the launch of the first "Hrazdan" space forces plan to conduct from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in 2019, the second — in 2022, the third in 2024-m. If "Persona" you have problems, or deadlines of "Hrazdan" will shift (for example, due to problems with import components), then serious problems will not arise, according to sources "Kommersant" in the industry: in this case, their functions will partly take over civilian vehicles.
