Mujahideen in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Material posted: Publication date: 26-05-2013

The main role in the organization of the Mujahideen movement in Bosnia and Herzegovina played a fundamentalist (Salafi) Sunni organization of Islamic countries, primarily from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Palestine, Syria, Jordan, Algeria, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The war 1992-95 ...

According to the book "Kill your neighbor (the Yugoslav secret police 1945-95)" author Marco Lopusina on the territory of the former SFRY in the 80s were active members of the organization "Muslim brotherhood". And it was here that they hid from the persecution of the intelligence services of Egypt and Syria, hunting for enemies of the ruling regimes of these countries, including Egyptian President Sadat.

In this case, the backbone of this organization was in Jordan in which, unlike Egypt and Syria, the Islamic fundamentalists (the Salafis) have supported the state of the world with the official authorities, however, the Jordanian territory for terrorists who are wanted, was not too reliable and therefore often used the territory of the SFRY where the Yugoslav intelligence agencies, primarily the Federal office for refugees, provided them with documents and weapons according to the aforementioned book of mark Lopusina.

Also according to this book, after the operation "Trebevic" held allied management DB against Islamic fundamentalists in Sarajevo (group Izetbegovic, Pergoda, Salihbegovic and djurdjević) in 1983 and after similar operations Republican control of DB in 1984 under the designation "Jahorina" (a group of Katunica, Mechtech, Tylicz we go towards) the center of Islamic fundamentalists moved to Zagreb, obviously under the protection of the local management DB where many of them received passports so that by 1990, according to Marco Lopusina on the territory of Yugoslavia, primarily in Croatia, in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Macedonia acted to only 350 members of the Muslim brotherhood.

For them Bosnia and Herzegovina was a struggle for the global victory of Islam and because they are neither mercenaries nor agents of the secret services, though these in their ranks met. The two most famous at that time "Salafist" organizations of Egypt "DIN-al-Islami" and "Jihad" and Algerian "GIA", were presented here in its most senior leaders - Abu Talat and Anwar Shaban from "Gama-al-Islami", Saliman, Meherzi from "GIA", Ayman Zawahri of "al-Jihad". In Bosnia and Herzegovina they found the base, weapons, experience, knowledge and communication, and this has shown that are real and tangible force in the world. On the message of the Serb prisoners (two doctors and one soldier), taken on the Ozren the Mujahideen in September 1995 years, in captivity they have seen Osama bin Laden, which at the time would not be particularly surprising, given that it is known that during the war he gave an interview to Sarajevo some Western journalists.

By and large, to the Mujahideen of the SFRY was a friendly country from the very beginning, as the SFRY as one of the founders of the "Movement", according to Tito became the main base of the "anti-colonial struggle" in the world.

So according to the book of Marco Lopusina in Belgrade in the 70s opened an office of the Palestine liberation Organization headed by Mohamed Nabhana served as a center for action in Europe palestinskom such organizations as "Black September". This office has maintained close contacts with spetsslujbami DB of the SFRY including General Jovan Popovich was in the 80s of the leading chief for combat training, including mine demolition and marksmanship in the Management of military security of the provided services by policies such as Muamar Gaddafi, Saddam Hussein, Robert Mugabe, Kim Il sung and, of course, Yasser Arafat.

Simultaneously with this representation, the recruitment of volunteers from among Yugoslav citizens in the units of the PLO, and so in the book of mark Lopusina examples Marinca Tomislav from Zagreb, Zeljko Budimirovic from Sarajevo, Ivica Radisich from Belgrade.

Also according to the book "Kill your neighbor..." is widely known terrorist and a graduate of the Institute of Asia and Africa in Moscow "Carlos" (Ilich Ramirez Sanchez), replaced in 1973 on position of the deceased Mohamed budge - head of the European centre "Team of special operations front for the liberation of Palestine-KOSE FPL", according to his own biography, written by himself in a French prison, often in the SFRY, where he received weapons and explosives. And it was organized by order of Moamer Gaddafi, a great friend of Josip Broz Tito undermining the "Fruits" in Berlin on 5th of may 1986. According to Marco Lopuchina was known to participate in "friendly" arrest of Carlos in the territory of the SFRY to the chief of the DB of Serbia, Obren Djordjevic and his assistant Dragan Mitrovic and Jovica Stanisic, the (future head DB with Slobodan Milosevic) on the orders of the then Minister of internal Affairs of the socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Franjo Herlovich was directed by Josip Broz Tito. After the arrest of Carlos was "friendly" meeting with Harlemites, as with the then head of state security of the socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Mitya Kragero and then without any problems, took off from Belgrade, and the mourners was Dragan Mitrovic from the management DB in Belgrade. As a result, according to the book of Marco Lopusina, on the recommendation of Wadi Hadad, the head of the "Team of special operations front for the liberation of Palestine-KOSE FPL" in Serbia was established two training center for "fighters" of the PLO or "terrorists" in Belgrade and Krushevetz for learning. There Carlos was recruited from members of the European radical left organizations such as the German "RAF" and "Revolutionären Zellen" and the Italian "Red brigades". While in Yugoslavia, Carlos collaborated with the chief of the branch "AA" DB SFRY responsible for "special operations" DB in Asia and Africa Jovo Milos.

Well aware that the original "Islamic fundamentalist" movement in Egypt and Syria acted on-line support Palestinians in their struggle against Israel and thus despite ideological differences with Fatah, Yasser Arafat, in practice, especially in such difficult operations as terrorist attacks in Europe, they acted for a long time on the same channels.

So in Croatia in 2010 in the newspaper "Vecherni list" ("Večernji list") was issued to the state company "Jugoimport-SDPR" from 1986, and this article was then Republican and in the Serbian newspaper "Blitz", in 12th January 2010.

According to this document, in July 1986 the representation of "Jugoimport-SDPR" in Belgrade at the initiative of the enterprise "Genex(Geneks)" (this enterprise was established by the Yugoslav secret services for foreign economic activity") visited Osama bin Laden with a proposal to purchase a large range of products, including MANPADS (at the time of the JNA weapons were of Soviet MANPADS "Strela-2") and ATGW (JNA then had Soviet ATGM "baby" and "faggot") in the amount of one hundred million dollars. Although according to published documents in the request was denied, it is unlikely that the representatives from the "Genexa" led Osama bin Laden without prior assessment of the situation and make preliminary arrangements. Moreover, it is indicative that according to the newspaper "Vecherni list" ("Večernji list") after the end of the war in Afghanistan, Osama bin Laden founded in Zagreb organization "al-Kifah" involved in the transfer of the Mujahideen in Bosnia and Herzegovina that he could hardly do without the help of any of the employees of the former SFRY DB. Another thing is that the Belgrade staff of the SFRY DB either didn't know or didn't want to know what the SFRY play a role in the plans of foreign intelligence agencies (such as British or Israeli), was already in the form is not needed and because Bosnia and Herzegovina have been giving the Islamic world, let us assume, for the sake of peace in Palestine. However, "Islamic fundamentalists" in Bosnia and Herzegovina went through legal channels in Croatia, whose intelligence is excellent to know who you are dealing with.

With the outbreak of war in Bosnia and Herzegovina obvious need of the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina to "assault" divisions, in this case served only as a pretext for the leadership of the ruling Muslim party SDA to start the organization in Bosnia and Herzegovina the Mujahideen. Bosnian Muslims are the majority in the beginning were against the Mujahideen, and only since August 1992 in Bosnia and Herzegovina together with the supply of weapons began to penetrate the volunteers of the Mujahideen from a fundamentalist (Salafist) movements in many Islamic countries such as Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Pakistan.

So in particular the Egyptian organization "Gama-al-Islami" and "Jihad" and the Algerian "GIA" have been represented here in the person of their leaders - Abu Talat and Anwar Shaban from "Gama-al-Islami", Saliman, Meherzi from "GIA", Ayman Zawahri of "al-Jihad". According to estimates by local analysts and in particular, according to the book "Islamic terrorism in the South of Europe" Croatian author Domagoj of Margetich (Domagoj Margetić "Islamistički terorizam na jugu Europe". Zagreb.2006.), and the article "the Barrier "Holy warriors"" author Miodrag Dinich in the room from the 15th of February 1996 the journal of the Ministry of defense of Yugoslavia "Troops" ("Rampa za svete ratnike" - Miodrag Dinić, "Vojska", 15.02.1996.) by the end of 1993-beginning of 1994, in the ranks of the army of Bosnia and Herzegovina was up to 3-4 thousand Mujahideen.

For them Bosnia and Herzegovina was a struggle for the global victory of Islam and here they found the base, weapons, experience, knowledge and communication, and this has shown that are real and tangible force in the world.

The first group of Mujahedeen came to Bosnia in late 1992.

According to the book of Evan Kohlman "Jihad al-Qaeda in Europe: the Afghan-Bosnian network" ("Al-Qaida's Jihad in Europe: The Afghan-Bosnian Network". Kohlmann, Evan F."Berg Publishers".2004) during the fighting in the autumn of 1992 under Tesnem on the mountain massif of Bandera first time I attended a group of twenty-five mujahidin from Saudi Arabia - veterans of the war in Afghanistan. According to the text of "the Martyrs Bosna" published on the website "Islam Bosna" during many days of fighting during the height of Tyrni Wjrh at the end of October 1992, the group first managed to dislodge from the positions of the Serbian company, but then was surrounded by Serbian troops and losing six dead. The bodies of several of them left in positions. The dead, according to the prepared in the Center of public security Ministry of internal Affairs of Republic Serbian town of Doboj documents, photos captured at the height of Carni Wirh three Serbian soldiers: Good blagojević (1948), Nenad petković (born 1971) and Branislav Jurica (1952) from Telica, which the Mujahideen had their heads cut off.

These same Mujahideen from the detachment stationed in Techne were found blessings of the Imam from Mecca Cadavera El Meccia who sent this detachment of the Mujahideen and his disciple Abu Abd-Allah El Audie. These photos then went around to all Serbian media.

However, the number and significance of these Mujahideen then was not great, and the command of the army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, primarily its military security, were opposed to the emergence of the Mujahideen in the ranks of the army. Were against and many members of the government, particularly Deputy Prime Minister Zlatko Lagumdzija.

Contrary to steady-state in Serbia's view, the Mujahideen came in large numbers in Bosnia and Herzegovina for Serbs, and Croats, whose forces waged a large-scale offensive operation in Central Bosnia, so the threat of the fall of Zenica and Travnik and the collapse of the entire Muslim statehood in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to the court opinion of the International Tribunal in the Hague (during the process against the commander of the 3rd corps of the army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, General Enver Hadžihasanović and the commander of the 7th brigade of this corps Colonel Amir Kubura), the first mujahedin in Central Bosnia were employees of humanitarian organizations since the beginning of hostilities, the Croatian forces against Muslims. Their first group, which included local Muslims-servicemen of the 7th and 306-th brigades of his corps appeared in the camp of the Połaniec in the village Mehurici.

And then in Zenica and in Travnik and in the neighbouring villages, such as Mehurici, Orasac, White Field, Arnaut, Ravni Rostov appeared first separate groups of Mujahideen, and then there began to emerge the whole units. Aware of the existence of the detachment of the Mujahideen "Abdul Latif" in the fucking nuts. The author from Serbia Dragan Dzamic in his book "the Dogs of war in the Balkans (Psi rata on the Balkan)" wrote that the training centres of Mujahideen under the Apple in the villages of Arnaut and Nemila, in the sanatorium of Bistricak in Zenica, at a school in Strannymi, in the villages of Circuity and Kasapovic. According to Camico group of Mujahideen were also seen in Tuzla, near Tesna and Breezy, in the villages of Gornja and Koprivna Zapalac in Zainskoj Krajina

Only, according to different estimations of local analysts, by the end of 1993 - beginning of 1994, in the Muslim armed forces were up to 3-4 thousand Mujahideen.

The main part of the Mujahideen became a detachment of Mujahideen "al-Mojahedin" was part of the 3rd corps of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with its headquarters in the Croatian village of Orasac.

According to the documents of the International Tribunal in the Hague (the judicial decision in the case of Colonel Amir Kubura and General Enver Hadžihasanović) squad of Mujahideen "al-Mojahedin" created under the Directive of the chief of the General staff of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, General Rasim delić, 13 August 1993, the 3rd corps of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with its headquarters in the Croatian village of Orasac and numbered about five hundred volunteers from Egypt, Pakistan, Algeria, Saudi Arabia and Syria and the Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Very often various "experts on Islamic terrorism in the former Yugoslavia", making a big mistake in assessing the number of foreign Mujahideen who participated in the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992-95. In numbers in the thousands and tens of thousands of Mujahideen, these experts may perform and specific order of this or that politician, but operating with inaccurate information, do even more inaccurate conclusions.

Meanwhile, the bug is quite easy to detect. After all, according to the memoirs themselves as Mujahideen, for example published on the website of the Foundation members of the order of the ""Zlatni Liljan (Zlatni RT of Lilian)" (the highest award of the army of Bosnia and Herzegovina's 1992-95 war years) and the above-mentioned judicial decision of the international Tribunal in the Hague (in the process against the former commander of the 7th Muslim brigade, Amir Kubura Colonel and commander of the 3rd corps of the army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, General Enver Hadžihasanović) the number of the only created on a permanent basis part of the Mujahideen detachment "El Mujahid" consisted of 500-600 soldiers, of which half were volunteers from the Bosnian Muslims, seconded according to his wishes from other parts of the army of Bosnia and Herzegovina in this unit. The rest of the Mujahideen were small units the size of a platoon, sometimes company.

As a rule, the Mujahideen of the above experts include the "Muslim" part of the army of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Similar parts appear in the beginning of the war volunteers from the ranks of local Bosnian Muslims, and although foreign Mujahideen met in them, but the key role is not played. Data on similar parts of the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina tried to hide, but aware of the existence at the beginning of the war, such unit "al-Fatih" who participated in 1992 in the battle for the Mortars to Sarajevo. However the sample of these parts was the so-called 7th Muslim brigade of the 3rd corps of the army of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This brigade was established on the basis of the 7th battalion of the 1st brigade Senichi 17 November 1992 and included in its membership only Muslims who were obliged to adhere to Sharia, whose rules were specified in the book "manual of Islamic fighter (Upute muslimanskom borcu)". This crew in addition to a military commander (Asim Curicica, Amir Kubura, Sheriff Petkovich, Khalil Barzini) had its own Emir Mahmut Effendi of Caralisa.

Subsequently, by its example in the army of Bosnia and Herzegovina was created 4th "Muslim" with headquarters at Konjic, and from the composition of the 7th brigade's 1st battalion was established and 737-I "Muslim" for action as part of established in 1994, 7-th corps of the army of Bosnia and Herzegovina with headquarters in Travnik, and then also in Travnik was at the end of the war created and the 9th Muslim brigade, but then because of the resistance in the management of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the pressure of the international community with their formation was suspended. However, some kind of replacement, was the naming of individual brigades "Bosnian" and, in particular, in the 1st corps of the army of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the mountain massif of Igman, was created 1st "Bosnian", which is sort of the equivalent of "Muslim" brigade.

These parts ensure a more successful "Islamization" of the army, and however the Mujahideen it was easier to act within these parts.

However, a natural question arises, how thousands of Mujahideen were deployed in Central Bosnia at the height of the Muslim-Croatian war? It is apparent that neither the Serbs nor the Croats, to see them there not wanted.

If we exclude the period of initial confusion, it's hard to find a different path here than through the Croatian coast. From the Serbian side the path was hermetically sealed not only Yugoslavia, but also the territories of Republika Srpska and Republika Srpska Krajina. The passage there of the Mujahideen groups was practically zero. Even if someone from the local "sorceron" (smugglers) a lot of money and could knock somewhere the desired support from local authorities - all the same someone would slip and it would have caused a veritable explosion in the local community.

Moreover, hardly the Mujahideen was the sense of risking, making his way hundreds of miles through unfamiliar territory, which was under the control of local armies, who knew all the secret ways and paths. If the starting point would be Albania, and in Albania the Mujahideen could be reached only by the Adriatic sea, where NATO naval forces and the EU.

After the war, the answer was given by the former commander of the 206-th "Viteska" brigade, operating in this area, Colonel Semsudin Muminović. In an interview in the television show "60 minutes", 28 February 2005, he accused "Western" peacekeeping forces of the UN in organizing the arrival in Central Bosnia the Mujahideen. Meanwhile, in Central Bosnia at that time, the only peacekeeping forces was reinforced battalion of the British army, with its headquarters in Viteze.

Besides the Brits of the Islamic religion were present in the Mujahideen, while in the Croatian brigade "kralj Tomislav", played a major role in the beginning of the war, there were many British mercenaries and volunteers from Western European right-wing movements, including the British. Of course if anyone was going here to throw the Mujahideen, it was not the British soldiers or volunteers, and the British secret service, used the services of agents among the above categories and among the local population. It is significant that according to the book "the Muslim-Croat war in Central Bosnia - a Military history of the 1992-94 year" author Charles Schroeder ("The Muslim-Croat Civil War in Central Bosnia.A Military History,1992-1994". Charles R. Shrader.Texas A&M University Press.College Station) in Central Bosnia two British mercenaries, Ted Skinner (Ted Skinner) and Derek Arnold (Derek Arnold) captured on 5 February 1993 were killed by Mujahideen, with interesting phrasing, as "agents of British intelligence". On the website of the Croatian foreign volunteers-veterans of "The International Volunteer Movement (međunarodnih dragovoljaca Udruga hrvatskih snaga oružanih)" describes the role of Skinner and Arnold in intelligence activities in the interests of the British contingent of peacekeepers (the 1st battalion Cheshire regiment) and help him in the transaction of the first convoy to Tuzla, that no ties among the Muslims was an impossible task.

It is clear that the British could not directly lead the Mujahideen, so we can assume that the policy of the contracts of the two power structures - British and Islamic fundamentalists. With Muslims, the latter was easier to negotiate, the more that changed halilović, Rasim delić, as a group of former officers of the Yugoslav people's Army (JNA), was distinguished by absolute obedience. It was the result of a cunning strategy of the Muslim top, no longer needing the commanders of the "gangster" type of "Patriotske League", and preferring obedience to him, the footage of YUNA.

A leading figure in SDA, responsible for cooperation with the Islamic world, was Hasan Cengic and possessed field airport, created under Visoko. It was under Visoko was a branch of the General staff of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose head until June 1993 and was Rasim Delic. On this airfield the aircraft came only with the knowledge of the command of the southern wing of NATO air forces and therefore, the path of arrival of the Mujahideen in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it turns out, was not so difficult.

The Yugoslav war of 1992-95 ...

A few of the thousands of Mujahideen who were in the army of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the successful export of the Islamic revolution. In "assault" the troops of this army, which constituted its main force, the Mujahideen were important, playing a key role in the successful operations of the 2nd and 3rd corps of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The operation began the assault on the Serbian positions under Vozuca and ended under Dobem capture the most part of the mountain massif Ozren and the defeat of the forces of Tactical group "Ozren", which consisted of four brigades of the Operative group "Doboj" 1 "Ukrainskogo" corps Troops of the Republic of Srpska.

Vozuca was a key point of defense task force "Ozren", and at the same time was a wedge into Muslim territory, impeding movement along the main road Zenica-Tuzla. Therefore, this plot stood out, not only the best forces of the task force, but also the whole Operational group "Doboj", as well as the entire 1st corps Ukrainskogo HRV. President of RS Radovan Karadzic, who visited these positions on may 19, 1994, said local Serbs following:

"We are here to protect not only Banja Luka and Belgrade, but also Moscow. Although they do not know".

On the website of the Foundation members of the order of the ""Zlatni Liljan (Zlatni RT of Lilian)" (the highest award of the army of Bosnia and Herzegovina's 1992-95 war,) in the article "Vozuca 1995 - the Great victory" describes the actions of the detachment "El Mujahid" during the fighting in Ozren under Vozuca. According to the memoirs of participants of those events, this detachment played a major role in the operation "of Fetal-Mubin" (Fethul-mubin) on may 27, breakthrough well-fortified Serbian positions under Vozuca dominant over the crest of the Ozren Podshilova consisting of heights 715, 726, 702, and 706. The squad, according to the memories of "El-Mujahid", then had about five hundred people, of which 230 Bosnian Muslims and 270 "interiew" - foreign volunteers. Detachment prior to surgery was divided into twelve battle groups, each of which were subordinate units of the 3rd corps of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina - 328 forces brigade of Zavidovici, 329 brigade from KACST and from the 3rd,4th and 5th separate "mobile" battalions of this corps. While assigned to units commanded not the commanders of these units, namely the Mujahideen.

According to the memoirs of participants of the breakout, these twelve groups of shock in the first attack broke through the line of defense of the Serbs, destroying or taking prisoner more than a hundred and seventy personnel Barnawartha brigade of the VRS.

On 20 July, the intelligence of the Mujahideen, faced with the Serbs, who carried out scouting, killed the commander of a Serb battalion, who had found the plans of the upcoming operation of HRV to a height of Podshilova order to throw off her opponent.

In the ensuing "operation al-Kerama (El-Kerama)", which started early in the morning on 22 July, the group "al-Mujahideen" attacked the Serbian trenches in several places, capturing the height of 551, 571 and Quire, and having moved inland two kilometers. Captured on Serbian positions were found and staff documents, including a plan providing for a derogation from Vasuki in case of a fall key height Palenik in her defense. Thus, according to the memories, some Serbian units in flanking positions in the course of "operation al-Kerama", in particular with the height of the "Nikolino brdo", have left these positions, hearing about the breakthrough of Mujahideen.

For the main operation to capture Vozuca, named "al-FADR", were involved forces of the 2nd and 3rd corps of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In particular, the composition of the 3rd corps were involved 375th "Chechenskoi", 328th "Zavidovici", 329th "Cacanski" and separate reconnaissance-sabotage company of the total number of 12-14 thousand people, while from the 2nd corps were involved forces numbering up to five thousand people. This should take into account that the forces of the 2nd corps participated in the July operation in ensuring that the forces of the 28th division of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina from Srebrenica in the number three or four thousand people. Known interpretation of events in Srebrenica in Tuzla called then a surge of hatred toward the Serbs. However, the main task of storming the height Palenik instructed the group "al-Mujahid".

The importance of the Mujahideen and show such data that the command 3-m (Sakib Mahmuljin) and 2nd (SEAD Delic) has postponed the planned start of operation from 5 to 10 September, for the reason that the Amir of the Mujahideen during the prayer has not received the approval of Allah, to perform the operation on that day.

Early on the morning of 10 September 1995, the Mujahideen, breaking crawl minefield in open countryside, five hours fifty-five minutes took their original to storm the position under the position of the Serbs at the height of Palenik. At this time, according to the memoirs of participants, the Serbs began to shout from the positions of the Muslims encouraging them to go on the attack and at the same time, "Emir" of the Mujahideen gave the order to storm. Position, in accordance with the above-mentioned article, were taken for seven minutes and all Serbs in these positions were either killed or taken prisoner. Serbs from other positions, as written in the Mujahideen captured the Serbian order of command, began to retreat, leaving Vozuca. On the same day the remaining parts of the 2nd and 3rd corps began a General offensive on the mountain of Ozren, taking several days to four hundred square kilometers, representing two-thirds of the territory held by Serbs before that. Including the villages of Blizna, Bela Place, Jablanica and even with half a dozen Serbian villages. It was restored on Magli-Zavidovici and Banović-Zavidovici.

According to Bosnian interpretation of events, the forces of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina stopped in front of the city Dobem only because of the pressure of the international community on the leadership of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In late 1995, the press service of the group "al-Mujahid" conducted an interview with the commander of the 3rd corps of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina General Sahib Mahalingam in which he stated the following:

"...The operation that was performed on osinska-vazochkam the front, as he said himself, President Izetbegovic, broke the back of the enemy. But whatever, this ridge started to break down had to break several vertebrae. The ridge of Podshilova, Palenik, Padmalochan are those vertebrae, which blow after blow was broken a squad of "al-Mujahid" and it was a condition of success of the operation. With God's help we this operation was conducted, and according to analysts, this operation was an example for the textbooks. The group "al-Mujahid" played a key moment psychologically for the rest of the parts, because it was always considered that the detachment of their task is always executed. It is important to note that the preparation operations conducted by the Mujahideen, was performed successfully and effectively. In the last phase of the operation, one of the key points in the release Vasuki, height Palenik, was captured in less than four minutes, and this proves the thoroughness of planning. Mujahideen is a conscious fighters and for them there are no barriers in order to accomplish any task. The Mujahideen have given great contribution in defending Bosnia and Herzegovina". <...>

It should also be noted that the fate of some 50 Serb prisoners and civilians from all hundred, then taken prisoner Vozuca, has long been unknown, until we found their mass graves, in which were found the bodies with severed heads. For Muslims, this operation meant revenge for Srebrenica, especially that of the refugees (Muhajirs) from Srebrenica was placed on the Serbs captured the territories in the Ozren.

The success of the group "al-Mujahid", "operation al-FADR" 10 September 1995го year, according to the article "Vozuća 1995 - Veličanstvena pobjeda (Vozuca 1995-the Great victory)" published on the website of the Foundation members of the order of the ""Zlatni Liljan(Zlatni RT of Lilian)" posed a major problem for "enemies of Islam" (obviously, in command of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina). Although in this operation the detachment "El Mujahid" has lost 98 killed, including their commander Mutesa of Balaha, who died at the end of the operation and more than 150 wounded, however, from this point a large number of local Muslims, especially the youth, began to join the ranks of the squad. And, thus, the Mujahideen have become a serious political force.

As written in the mentioned article, after taking Vozuca, the Mujahideen Sheik Enver Shaban said to the Mujahideen:

"This is our great success. The enemies of Islam and Muslims will not allow us to pursue, they stop us and today will begin to pursue us."

The prestige of the Mujahideen in Bosnia remained high after the war and many Muslims, including in the state apparatus continued to support them, and against the pressure of the USA and NATO. Due to this prestige, but also thanks to the good organization and financial support of foreign Mujahideen remained on Ozren, the village Bocinja, and then simply settled in other villages and cities, including Sarajevo, or left Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, by that time the leadership of the Islamic fundamentalist (Salafi) movement in Bosnia and Herzegovina came from local Muslims who cheRES 10-15 years after the end of the war were able to gather several thousand people at rallies in support of the foreign Mujahideen or at the funeral of their chiefs.

After the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the influence of the ideas of Islamic fundamentalism in the environment of the Bosnian Muslims continued to grow. One of the main factors in this was the fact that many Mujahideen, who arrived here by channel Islamic "fundamentalist" organizations, still live in the area of Zenica, KACST, Herbalist and, primarily, in the former Serbian village on the Ozren - Donja Bocina and in several neighboring villages, have become their bases and at the same time a place of residence until mid-2001. Whereas for a long time was not taken into account the fact that by the end of the war, most of the Mujahideen were local Muslims, which suggests that the movement of the Mujahideen were able to "settle down" in the local environment of a given force in the last war and anti-Serb chauvinist anticonvulsive, and thus anti-Christian in the vector.

This circumstance contributed to the fact that the majority of foreign Mujahideen received during the war or immediately thereafter the citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to the article "Passport of life" the journalist Vildana Selimbegovic ("Putovnica gori za život". Vildana Selimbegović. BH Dani, br. 224, 21.9.2001.), up to a thousand people of Afro-Asian origin, which can be attributed to the Mujahideen received during the war and immediately after it the citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In an interview with this same author ("Zašto smo morali isporučiti Alžirsku grupu", BH Dani, br. 243, 8.2.2002.) , the then Prime Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina and head of the social democratic party (SDP) Zlatko Lagumdzija said at the time, in order to obtain citizenship quite had the guidance of the presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina or the employee at the Consulate that this person "helped Bosnia and Herzegovina". However, for special occasions and didn't need advice and so Aliya Izetbegovic himself, through his son Bakir, sent a distinguished Mujahideen fifty passports.

Thus, the documents of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the former Mujahideen freely traveled to Europe, and so one former Mujahideen and a member of the movement "al-Jihad" from Egypt Yusuf Amgad wanted in Egypt, was arrested on the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina in July 2003 with a fake Belgian Bosnian and applicable documents.

Mujahideen settled not only in the village of Donja Bocina, whose name has become over time at the hearing. They settled in other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina and so in 1997 during an interview with the magazine "BH Dani"(number 93), the Mirsad, Velagic, Governor Unsko-Sana'a Canton of the Federation of Herceg-Bosna (Muslim-Croatian part of the present Bosnia and Herzegovina - approx. Ed.), confirmed the presence in the Canton (with the centre in Sana'a the Bridge) of the former Mujahideen.

What has been their impact shows that according to the book "Gharibi mujahedin in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992-95" Asada of Hecimovich ("Garibi - Mudžahedini u BiH 1992-1999. Esad Hećimović), and a range of other sources, including documents of the international police mission - IPTF, the Mujahideen captured two Vozuca prisoners under Serbian captain Nenad, Skarbek and "zastavnik" Dusan Skrebic on the personal orders of the former commander of the 3rd corps of General Sakiba Mahalina all 1996 and first half 1997 was held secretly in prison in Zenica as could be witnessed the killing by the Mujahideen of the Serbian prisoners of war. Only under pressure from the international police mission "Bosnian" side agreed to release them and 3 August SFOR troops the helicopters they are from Zenica were transferred to Banja Luka.

The Mujahideen was "proactive" group for Bosnia and Herzegovina Wahhabi movement, which Saudi Arabia through a network of various "humanitarian" organization could quite legally to help through their offices in Saudi Arabia itself.

So after the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina the efforts of the Wahhabis and mujahidin (the first time was, as a rule, one and the same) have any "Organization of Islamic youth (Organizacija islamske omladine)" and producing their magazine "Saff (Saff)" and gained a strong influence among the local Muslim youth.

After the war 1992-95 ...

The Mujahideen did not hide its claims to the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina. So, one of the local leaders of the Algerian Abu Salim gave in 1996 interview with the London magazine "Europien," in which he argued that we "live in time in which Islam will win, and our presence in Bosnia should it provide". For American soldiers, according to him, the Mujahideen were not going to attack if they did not want to "occupy" Bosnia, but if the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina will require the departure of the Mujahideen, "will protect us bosansko people because we the people protected from the Serbs. Bosnia-Holy Islamic land and it is our duty to defend it from occupation."

It makes no sense to exaggerate the military importance of a small group of Mujahideen then settled in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but you can't downplay their political significance, because, as you know, all revolutions began with small groups of revolutionaries. The Mujahideen were certainly revolutionaries in the classic sense of the word and yet sufficiently radical and decisive.

Thus, according to the International police IPTF in 1998-99 from Bosnia and Herzegovina was organized, and send Islamic volunteers in the ranks of the Albanian UCK/UÇK (Albanian - Ushtria Çlirimtare e Kosovеs, Serbian HVAC liberation army of Kosovo, and Russian KLA - Kosovo liberation army). And then, with the outbreak of war in Chechnya in 1999 and in the ranks of Chechen separatists, and according to published memories of these volunteers (for example, in the magazine "Saff (Saff)") in Chechnya some of them were the engineers, resulting in Bosnia and Herzegovina experience.

During the war in Kosovo in 1998-1999 Mujahideen participated in the fighting against the Yugoslav armed forces on the part
