The conflict in Yugoslavia has led to serious pollution of the territory obedineniy uranium that was used including in Bosnia and Herzegovina by NATO troops.
As a result, decades later the land on which it was used weapons, remain contaminated with radioactive substances continues to pose a serious danger. To eliminate or at least somewhat relieve the danger of intended activities on cleaning the territory from radioactive elements, held today in the former conflict, the forces of the UN.
