Point of view: where did the nonconformists from the city streets
Material posted: Publication date: 25-06-2017
Back in 2007, long before the advent of Kryptonite songs, shows Yuri Dude and podvorotov jeans Russian Teens lived in the era of subcultures: dyed my hair black and pink, cried to the music of Animal Jazz, walked the cemeteries and romantic talked about death. In our article we argue that, where did all the Indies, and whether they can be reintroduced in modern Russia.

It seems that all long-haired nonconformists, putting on a dark t-shirt with a picture of Tokio Hotel and inserts the piercing in any visible to others part of the body, washed away by a wave of bearded hipsters, young students, not issuing from the hands of the iPhone. It's hard to believe subculture are so carefully lined up their ideology and gave rise to so many musical groups, suddenly disappeared, not even having time to explain himself to his fans. Stern nonconformists, seemed aggressive and unsociable, and was not able to find a common language with people in padworth and went underground.

The heyday of subcultures occurred in 2007-2008 – a time when almost every Russian yard can be found a sad, emo-boys, depressed for any reason, and among teenagers there was a great love of things black and white cells (the main colors of the subculture of "ska"), songs Avril Lavigne, and the skulls on the backpacks. Thus, despite a great love for dark things, such nonconformists lived a normal life: go to school, work, concerts favorite bands, enjoyed the dollar exchange rate of 30 rubles and ate cheap hamburgers at McDonald's.

It was quite a usual time, when teenagers, in parallel with studies and preparation for the then less severe the exam, was sad about unrequited love under the "Three stripes" Animal Jazz and "Autumn" group "China", didn't think about illicit meetings and a change of government, and lived without videobloger on Youtube.

Generation gentle and sensual teen lived and sad in a country where at that time everything was fine: no sanctions, the high dollar and the Euro, free entrance to Kiev and complete harmony in Ukraine. Against the background of Russian stability melancholic, dramatic and aggressive Goths looked pretty funny, but in this pseudointellectual sadness and expressed their protest to the older generation enjoying happy times.

Several years passed and depressed adolescents were once sad: stability in Russia has been undermined, the economic crisis, and the young emo, after leaving school, I was in the real world, where adults have turned out to be virtually no time for melancholy. Throwing out a wardrobe of dark things and wiping your phone all the songs in the genre of alternative, former informal mired in everyday Affairs like graduation, job search and personal happiness.

Yesterday the Indies turned into quite a ordinary people, drowning in problems and hiding his sadness over a beer on a Friday night.

Once in adulthood, the former emo and Goths have realized that their ideology does not benefit Russian society, and thus forever buried any idea of the revival of subkultur. Emo, goth, ska, and punks were killed less than a year, its creators decided to forget about your teenage past.

Not to say that nonconformists had completely left the Russian reality. Of course, in the past has gone black and pink clothes, long bangs and piercings all over his face. Now the Indies are differently expressed its commitment to a particular subculture and generally not particularly focus on their appearance in favor of public rules (you can be an absolute punk in the soul, but to work you still have to go in a suit).

But the Russian nonconformists enjoy visiting concerts of alternative rock bands, the repertoire of which has hardly changed since 2007, and sometimes couples patrols with skulls, nostalgic for the past. And although it seems that the number of nonconformists in a couple of years significantly decreased, depressed emo and Goths are still alive and well: choose the clothes in the "Nearmarket" (a store that everyone knows Yaroslavl informal), go to concerts of group "Slot" and AMATORY and revise the canonical films of the informal culture (like "Requiem for a dream" or depressing films of Bergman).

To begin with, what is the concept of "subculture" and the concept of "informal". Now in Russia run the show for two subculture — rappers, and hipsters. But informal they are not, because history the basis of retro-style (and it is in society considered normal, because everybody was wearing these clothes once), and rappers just cause laughter and are not considered something unique to our society.

At the informal for the most part 4-5 main areas: punks, Goths, emo, repetida, etc. in Fact, the very notion of hipster came from the fact that these people, at least, look like everyone else, because to belong to these styles, it is necessary to wear specifficly merch/. From the punk leather jackets and Mohawks, metalheads — long hair and metal, the Goths – black clothing and dark makeup.

Now the real nonconformists are gone. Of course, there are many people who support the idea of informal and listen muzlo appropriate, but they look like everyone else. I would even say that it is a modern trend. If you look at the pictures of the current punk artists, you will notice that they look like regular people. Now people have less need to stand out from the crowd, more and more blurred the boundaries between styles, so over time these ready/emo/punk less and less.

For example, I can't remember the last time you saw live trudnogo nefore, although Neverov "spiritual" know a lot. I know a huge number of people that support punk direction. Among my friends there are Goths, emo. Just now, in Russia, in the world, there is no need to wear navorski merch.

The fact that nonconformists became less, very noticeable. Now not actually meet on the street, goth, emo, and specifically the brightest representatives of other subcultures. Aesthetics of subcultures remained in creativity, music, even in some areas of life, but in clothes and in life all it is now is not particularly fashionable.

Who informals was 10-20 years ago, now, as a rule, grew up, started a family, and that whole style considers something "for his age". Or leave some details — long hair accessories on the little things. But sometimes the former informal lead to us children and happily buy them a paraphernalia of different groups. Customers have a wide variety, without limitation, from children to pensioners. More likely, perhaps, schoolchildren, but it has always been, and probably will.

However, among our clientele are still people who like to look bright and interesting. Just now come to us to buy the white powder and not spiked Bracers up to the elbow, and stylish, genre, but it is much less catchy ring or bracelet. Them on the street will not be seen from a mile away.

Themselves flow nonconformists have long faded and turned mostly into something like a simple hobby music or piercings, anime or steampunk, whatever. Now apparently there is simply no need to dress "subculture", pretentious and somehow special characteristic. Most likely, much of the external attributes are gone from the streets to the festivals.

And as the ideological component of subcultures — ideas-that many left. The same Gothic, dark aesthetic of all this love. Punk generally eternal is music, and the philosophy of his kind. Rock and metal I also listen to, and how.

Yourself subculture in the form in which they understood, say, 10-15 years ago, as a phenomenon, it's probably just a bit exhausted now.
