The axis Paris-Moscow-Berlin - new Europe
Material posted: Publication date: 21-10-2010

"And if at the time of the historic reconciliation between France and Germany became one of the basic conditions of Western European integration, but today the partnership of Russia, Germany and France is a major positive factor in international Affairs and pan-European dialogue.

I am deeply convinced: a large single Europe from the Atlantic to the Urals, and in fact to the Pacific ocean, the existence of which is based on universally recognised democratic principles, is a unique chance for all the peoples of the continent, including for the Russian people... the Russian people have always felt part of the European family, has been associated with the cultural, moral and spiritual values".

Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation

Acquainted with the American press, you will realize that the axis "Paris-Berlin-Moscow" there is treated very seriously and seen as a real threat to the US. "Taking into account all the factors of France, Germany and Russia potentially has all the attributes of a great power, capable of becoming a counterweight to the United States at the global level: France has to offer its political and ideological initiatives, Germany is the economic power, and Russia's military capabilities," writes neocon John Halsman (John C. Hulsman). In conclusion the author concludes that Washington must answer blow for blow and to use any means to divide this anti-American Alliance.

3 November 2003 in Berlin one of the most violent "hawks" of the Pentagon Richard Perle (Richard Perle) was hit with fierce criticism by the German Minister of defense, opposing "the extension of Franco-German relations and the trends of France and Germany show solidarity on any occasion". A few months prior to this, Thomas Friedman (Friedmann Tomas) wrote in the New York Times: "Americans should understand that France is not just our annoying ally, France is becoming our enemy". Michael Ledeen (Michael Ledeen), another close to the Bush administration's neo-conservative, said right: France and Germany have become "strategic enemy" of the USA.

Where did this incredible aggressiveness? The fact that the Americans who required their allies to behave like vassals and did not support the idea of a multipolar world, more than anything fear the emergence of a true European power. After much evasion they were forced to sign openly in opposition to the prospects of a United Europe and strive to prevent the worst: the emergence of the axis Paris-Berlin-Moscow.

The French, Germans and Russians. Three of these great European Nations has a special place in our continent. Each of these countries is the main driving force in their geographical area: France to the West and South of Europe, Germany is in the centre and in the East, Russia in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia.

Europe can be considered the Western continuation of Russia, and Russia Eastern extension of Europe. Europe can change Russia, and Russia is able to change Europe. The first option has failed three times already: in 1709, after the defeat of the Swedish king Charles XII at Poltava, in 1812, after fleeing Napoleon's army from Moscow, and in 1943, during the battle for Stalingrad. Change Europe Russia stopped with the fall of the Berlin wall and the end of the cold war. The axis Paris-Berlin-Moscow is, therefore, a peaceful way to achieve what it failed to achieve by force of arms, that is, to realize the dream of de Gaulle about Europe from the Atlantic to the Urals.

It should be noted that along this axis, spanning 14 time zones, from the Atlantic to the Pacific coast the sun never sets. It can become a way to make a statement, finally, about the "Third Rome," always dreamed of in France, Germany and Russia. This Eurosuper would be truly independent and were not fraught with threats, but no one, be it China, USA or Islam, in turn, also would not represent her real danger. That is why France and Germany should restructure the architecture of Europe, in close cooperation with Russia.

The axis Paris-Berlin-Moscow economic interests

Europe cannot deny the fact that Russia is supplying her with 30% gas and 25% oil. Only in the long term to ensure its gas capable of only three countries: Russia, Iran and Qatar. The choice is obvious.

In this regard, we need to develop a tripartite strategic partnership, which is based on the enormous power of wealth on one side and a huge investment from the other arrays. According to the Russian Minister, Sergei Lavrov, the bilateral investment ratio is ten to one in favor of the EU. Eurasia is densely populated, has developed industry and, more importantly, a significant raw material resources.

The axis Paris-Berlin-Moscow adheres to military interests

In the future revision of the Atlantic Alliance with Washington it is possible the formation of a continental Alliance with Moscow. Such a pan-European Alliance, military cooperation twenty-first century European and Russian armed forces, could become not only a counterweight to the military might of the USA and NATO, but also an additional shield for Europe in the face of likely geopolitical risks such as the middle East, terrorism, nuclear threats from unstable countries, the energy crisis, the rising power of China... Because you cannot be sure that America, which concern primarily its own interests, will continue in future decades to systematically intervene in the situation to change in the desired direction, the balance of forces or to cope with current risks.

As Carolingian Europe, the core of the entire continental policy, she will take a position equidistant from Moscow and Washington, will be an ally of both capitals and will participate in the General industrial defence projects or other joint military operations with Russia or the United States depending on their own interests. Hence the need for an independent European General staff at Strasbourg, halfway from Paris to Berlin, a legendary place of reconciliation between France and Germany and the European headquarters Eurocorps forces.

Chief editor of the German newspaper Die Zeit States that the Europeans at present are doomed to impotence, as in the past refused the use of force: the lack of "Imperial ambitions" deprived them of any hope to become a counterweight to American superpower. In case of conflict between the USA and Russia Europe might remain neutral or to support one side or another depending on the nature of the conflict and their own exclusive interests, not dragging along at the tail of its American ally, as is currently happening in the system only Atlantic bloc and unilateral protectorate of NATO. The rejection of blind following would be a smart move for Europe, as would enable her to become active in their own destiny and to contribute to the reduction of possible tensions between the Russian and American continental Maritime powers.

Europe is starting to realize that Russia no longer is a strategic threat, but may contribute to the strengthening of its military security. As written by Emmanuel Todd (Emmanuel Todd): "If the American attitude to the world will change (from protection to potential aggression), the attitude of Russia to the world will also undergo the reverse change - from threats to a potential defense. The only stable element in this model, the result is the antagonistic nature of Russian-American relations".

We all know that USA is annually spending on defence target of 3.4% of its GDP (or $ 500 billion), against 1.8% in France ($55 billion), of 1.34% in Germany ($40 billion) and 2.9% in Russia ($45 billion). Taking into account disparities of GDP and allocated funds (even if these figures do not reflect the potential military power of Russia and Europe), the superiority of America just horrible. If France, Germany and other European countries will unite with Russia in their defense investment, and if Europe will be able to reduce only part of my backlog! In April 2007 Mourmelon passed the first Franco-Russian military exercise...

Europe can become a superpower only thanks to the Alliance Paris-Berlin-Moscow, and not in the framework of the European Union.

The Ukrainian crisis has shown that Europe can realize himself as a power only with the cooperation of three key players (France, Germany and Russia), and not by the patient search of unanimity or even 27 38 countries. In addition, many are pushing the United States, Britain and Poland European countries even signed a document that became a kind of their oath of allegiance to the United States.

Common and independent European policy remains a myth. According to some forecasts Europe risks to become even more helpless and to go the way of the medieval Holy Roman Empire, which evolved in unrelated between a cluster of cities and principalities, possessing only the fiction of shared power.

Much existing in Europe partnership is based on simple American concept of a free trade zone under the protective umbrella of NATO. New impetus can come only from France and Germany, who share the same vision for the future of Europe and seek to influence it politically, economically and culturally. The participation of Spain, Austria and Italy could be the lucky prototype of a "European Europe".

In addition, in the international arena, the Europeans apparently have abandoned the ideas of Hobbes and Machiavelli, as it was repeatedly noted American expert on the geopolitics of Robert Kagan (Robert Kagan). Europeans should stop trying to bring foreign policy to the abstract concept of human rights, a realistic look at changes in the balance of geopolitical forces and defend rather, the morality of international law based multilateral approach and the equality of all Nations. In the face of Islam, terrorism, threats to Middle East Europeans should draw inspiration from examples Richelieu, Bismarck, de Gaulle and to a lesser extent, Chamberlain and Daladier.

The lack of a clear vision of the situation, of vital ambitions, debate and courage in the media really makes one fear the worst for Europe, which runs the risk of losing yourself in fruitless disputes on the organization of humanitarian giant supermarket (she, apparently, intends to become), finally having moved away from topical solutions to world issues. Paradoxically, this vacuum is a reminder of the fact that the only perspective from an intellectual and strategic point of view option in the last thirty years (far from the various European treaties and constitutions) is the creation of a strong and independent Europe around the axis Paris-Berlin-Moscow.

As a continuation of the Franco-German Alliance, the axis Paris-Berlin-Moscow will be able to compose in newly multi-polar world pole great prosperity and security, as well as to enable Europe to regain the independence and freedom of action.

American and British geopolitical strategy, of course, is aimed at "preventive disintegration" of this huge Eurasian space: the enlargement of NATO and the EU at an accelerated pace, the deployment of American military bases in the East, support for Turkey's plans for joining the EU, the bombing of the rebellious Serbia. England and the U.S. managed to divide the European Union, severing it almost in two parts after the entry of great Britain and Eastern countries, and to deprive it of its political and military advantages and to turn into a modern version of the German customs Union the beginning of the XIX century.

It is also possible that the axis Paris-Berlin-Moscow will finally give the answer to the famous question of Henry Kissinger about the phone number Europe: there will be three, dear sir, Paris, Berlin and Moscow. As for Donald Rumsfeld case, which sees European Europe France and Germany the so-called "old Europe", we can reply that the new Europe is an axis Paris-Berlin-Moscow, and not Trojan horses Poland and the UK, and certainly not the periphery countries, which swore allegiance to the USA!

A few years ago, the French novelist Vladimir Volkoff (Vladimir Volkoff) asked a U.S. diplomat following question: "I don't understand, you need to Europe everything turned out or not?" The diplomat said: "We need to get her to get it, but it turned out bad." The axis Paris-Berlin-Moscow is one of the methods by which things can get... well.

In addition, at a press conference on July 23, 1964, General de Gaulle spoke these words: "For us French, it is that Europe has United to become European. A European Europe means that it exists in itself and for itself, that is, in other words, in the international arena it has its own political line".
