Serbia, Bosnia, Kosovo and Turkey in the light of the revival of Islam in the Balkans. Part two

In the current Sangaku Turkey's influence is obvious, in no small measure contributed to the agreement signed between the then President of Serbia Boris tadić and Prime Minister of Turkey Abdullah Gul on the establishment in 2011 in southern Serbia, in Sandzak (under the city of Tutin) trade and economic center, with residential and administrative quarters, as well as a free trade zone with a total value of 1.69 billion euros, with 85% of the funds allocated to Turkey, while 15% of Serbia (15).

As Sanjak in the Turkish credit at $ 30 million by that time was the construction of the main way, since 2011, Turkey has become a real political force in the whole region of South Serbia.

This region was from the beginning of 90-ies in a deep economic crisis and average wages were here around 100-150 dollars. Such a copious infusion has played a very important role here, especially because they went along with the growing influence of Albanian drug mafia, which used numerous Serbian gang.

The latter included a significant number of Kosovo Serbs that have retained their homes in Kosovo and Metohija. Maintaining relations with their Albanian neighbors and using the fact that the ranks of the interior Ministry of Serbia was in 1999 accepted a large number of members of the MUP from Kosovo Serbs, such people are turned into middlemen.

At the same time the Albanian mafia ties with Belgrade were never interrupted and bred in the capital of Serbia's criminal element - both with experience in the military and police structures, and without it - not too tormented by questions of morality in the drug trade.

However, the same thing, even on an even larger scale, occurred in neighboring Montenegro, which was part of the territory of historical Sangaku.

In Montenegro in the 90-ies came to power the wing of the Montenegrin League of Communists of Yugoslavia, for example, have successful business bent to the ideas of liberals of Montenegro for the establishment of an independent Montenegro.

According to the ideas of the "Montenegrin liberals", the Montenegrins were not Serbs, although they speak the same language and were the same with the Serbs of the genotype, and one faith.

As a result, in 1998-99, the leadership of Montenegro, was preparing his "special" police for fighting against the Yugoslav army. And, primarily, against the 5th battalion of the military police corps Podgoretska, reaching at one time, thanks to dialed in Montenegro to reservists of the brigade.

According to the book "Military secret" of Serbian author Vladan vlajkovic of (16) in 2000-2001, the leadership of the army of Yugoslavia seriously preparing for military action against the forces of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Montenegro.

In this case, such a policy of Montenegro conducted because of the simple fact that Montenegro in the 90-ies became a transit centre for smuggling of various kinds: from cigarettes to drugs. As from the former Yugoslavia and former USSR in southern Italy, which is a traditional transit hub for drug trafficking from Asia and Africa to Europe.

As a result of such trade Montenegro was dependent on the number of Western power centers and its foreign policy was determined in foreign embassies.

However in these embassies have come to define over time and its internal politics and because since 1997, Muslim Albanian and Montenegrin political frames of Sanaka got an important role in the internal policy of Montenegro, including through passed in 1997 elections in Montenegro (12).

British author Kenneth Morrison wrote that the key role in the success of the coalition's Mile Djukanovic in the elections of the September 2006 year, which led Montenegro to independence, played a Muslim and Albanian voters (12).

It is significant that in neighbouring Kosovo Montenegrin town of Rozaje, inhabited by Muslims and Albanians, the local DPS - the party Milo đukanović, was essentially a party of local Muslims and neither the border guards nor the Montenegrin troops were not here, while the nearest division of the Ministry of internal Affairs - the detachment of special forces of the Ministry of interior of Montenegro was in the town of White Box in dozens of kilometers away from giving Birth.

What was their influence shown by the fact that the local narcoses not let these special forces in a private hotel in the centre of Birth, whereas for himself Have fought with local Muslims and Albanians.

There was something to fight for, for smuggling with Kosovo was not forest roads, as the road PEC-Rozaje.

In addition, Muslim politicians were influential in the communities Berane, Bijelo Polje, Pljevlja and Podgorica, where many Muslims lived, whereas Albanian politicians and the Albanian gang was put under the control of the community of Ulcinj and Plav, and eventually began to win leading positions in the main port of Montenegro, Bar.

The influence of Albanian OCG in Montenegro started to dominate and it was they who controlled the transit of drugs from Kosovo through Montenegro to neighboring countries, have become partially control and policy of Montenegro.

With regard to the army of Montenegro population in two and a half thousand people, consisting of two brigades (infantry and special purpose) incomplete, and brigade logistical support and air and naval bases, its role was not to consider. For preparing her to peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan, the leadership of Montenegro perceive Kosovo as a Federal state, recognizing its independence.

In the air force of Montenegro's main striking force was the link light attack aircraft G-4. The Navy's main striking force was two frigates of the Soviet draft Horses, while the rest of the ships and planes left over from the armed forces of Yugoslavia were either sold out, or were in nebogatova condition (the main striking force of the link light attack aircraft G-4.

Thus emerged a very real corridor through Montenegro or Kosovo under which the Turkish army without any problems could have a few days of marching the March walk from Adrianople to the border of Croatia, which entered in 2013 in the European Community.

From the European community there is hardly anything you can count. And if in France there are open Muslims attacked Catholic processions on religious grounds, (17) and the government of France and condones such attacks, it is unlikely that it will interfere with the same struggle of Islam against Orthodoxy in the Balkans and to provide any protection of the Balkan Christians.

Nothing is impossible in this scenario, no, and the main obstacle for the Turkish government is your own army supported by the USA, but with a succession of Arab revolutions this army began to lose, and thus make repeated concessions to the Turkish Islamists.

The last obstacle to the Islamists represented the U.S. army and its Navy, while the European community, a particular obstacle is not.

Moreover, it is significant that the EU seemed to be looking for reasons not to accept the so-called Western Balkans (Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina) in their ranks.

The impression was that the EU wanted to stay away from the process that initiated the U.S. to support foreign claims of Turkey.

That Turkey was a NATO member, she does not hurt and in 1974 to attack the territory of Cyprus and to enter into a direct war with your ally - Greece.

Good example of the "Pro-Turkish" U.S. policy was the scandal that broke out during a lawsuit Joan Schmidt against David Krikorian in Ohio (18).

Lawyers Krikorian, accused during the election campaign her rival Schmidt in receiving money from the "Turkish lobby", as a witness called Sibel Edmonds, who served the FBI for the posts of interpreter in Persian and Turkish from 2001 to 2002.

As stated by Edmonds, she was fired from the FBI, because it raised a scandal when one of her employees along with her husband, an employee of U.S. military intelligence, tried to recruit her to work in the interests of Turkey.

After the dismissal of Sibel Edmonds along with a number of volunteers formed an organization of "National Security Whistleblowers Coalition" (19) and began to prepare the book "Shoot the messenger" (Kansas University Press), as well as to online blog, speaking against Turkey lobbying their interests through espionage and bribery of high-ranking officials in the United States.

During his testimony in August 2009, she openly accused the Turkish government in subversive activities on American soil as to prevent the adoption by the U.S. Congress resolution condemning the Armenian genocide of 1915 and to collect military secrets, including both new developments and on the plans of U.S. intelligence (18).

Thus, according to Edmonds, in this case, the special services of Turkey have collaborated with secret services of Israel and Pakistan. She also stated in court under oath, that Turkey had cooperated with groups "is now called al-Qaeda", refusing in the mid 90-ies from the use of the "Grey wolves" and the military command of Turkey sent its air force units as their special forces and special forces of Pakistan to the Caucasus and Central Asia, and also used Islamic fundamentalists with their passports and sending them to the Balkans and to Eastern Europe (18).

In fact, it was to incarnate the project of the us administration of the 90-ies of "European integration", to unite all of the Balkans with Turkey, although none in the Balkans except Albanians and "Bosniaks" such a Union, in fact, regenerating the Turkish Empire, of joy then did not cause.

Bulgaria is now experiencing not the best times, and its army now has a little over 30 thousand soldiers, while from a few thousand battle tanks. IFV and APC former Bulgarian army remained not over a hundred tanks T-72M2 and two hundred APCS and IFVs (BMP-23F, BMP-1, BTR-60 and MT-LB). From 226 combat aircraft MiG-21, su-22, MiG-23, MiG-29, P-25 16 modernised MiG-29 Yes three dozen MiG-21 and su-25, and many of them were in "non-working" condition.

Bulgarian security services after "reforms" have lost the ability to fight even against local organized crime flourished in Bulgaria and taking advantage of these special services of Turkey and Saudi Arabia acted almost freely in Bulgaria.

Turkey, in this case used the fact that hundreds of thousands of Bulgarian Turks who were expelled from Bulgaria to Turkey during the Todor Zhivkov during the socialist period, after the establishment of democracy regularly participated in elections in Bulgaria and even managed to restore its influence in some Bulgarian regions, as for example in Kirdjali.

As a result, the party of the Bulgarian Turks "Movement for rights and freedoms" is a member of the ruling political coalition in Bulgaria.

Saudi Arabia used the program of religious education as Bulgarians-Muslims - so-called "Pomaks" and Bulgarian Roma were historically Muslim.

In 2010 in Bulgaria in the areas of "the Pomaks" in Smolyan, Blagoevgrad and Pazardzhik were the operations of the interior Ministry and local security services - DANCE sudovskaya against members of the humanitarian organization "al Uakf al Islami" closely associated with "al-Qaeda".

Pazardjik city with a population of 979 71 people according to the last census in 2011 had a large Islamic community, which was officially 4822 3423 Turks and Roma, so that in practice Roma were not less than 25,000, because many of them were recorded as Bulgarians. In this environment, and start early in the new century, the activities of "al Uakf al Islami" and soon its members began to participate in the "Islamist" rallies in Bulgaria

Thanks to its activity in Pazardzhik most of the local Roma people began to accept Islam and then was built a mosque, a religious school for Teens and was an active humanitarian aid to the Gypsies.

In 2010 -2011, the activities of "al Uakf al Islami" engulfed the mountainous region of the Rhodope mountains, where he lived many "Pomaks".

When her work became too open in the district court in Pazardzhik began the trial against imams thirteen village, accused of religious extremism and anti-state activities. During the trial the villagers, where were the imams protested in front of the courthouse in defense of the imams and subsequently, the process was postponed indefinitely.

In Bulgaria itself quite active and Salafi groups and so according to the Bulgarian newspaper "24 hours" in 2011, Masum Abdal Mohamed, a native of Bulgaria, captured in Afghanistan, was released from prison in Guantanamo Bay (20).

The Minister of internal Affairs of Bulgaria Tsvetan Tsvetanov quite closely collaborated with U.S. intelligence agencies in the fight against Islamic terrorism, one manifestation of which was the attack in the resort town of Burgas occurred on 18 July 2012. Then a bus with Israeli tourists was blown up at the airport "Sarafovo" a suicide bomber with an American passport, and 7 people died (21).

And in Turkey the situation is not straightforward and it is quite a bitter political struggle often turns into open terrorism.

So when in Turkey, 15 November 2003, suicide bombers-the suicide bombers blew up two vans filled with explosives at the synagogue "Neve Shalom and Beit Israel", resulting in killed 22 people and injured 242, these attacks have drawn attention to the Islamic fundamentalist organizations operating in Turkey.

In Turkey even then, there were the following "Salafist" organization, "the Great Islamic front of fighters of the East", "Hezbollah", "Revolutionary Hezbollah", "Fighters of the Islamic revolution", "Jeyshullah" (Army of Allah), "Islamic liberation army", "State Caliphate"(22).

Now Turkey is playing the Islamic card and according to an article by Thomas Friedman of "new York times" of June 15, 2010 (23), Erdogan is now the most popular in the Arab world political leader, largely thanks to the support of the Palestinians.

Given the rising power of Turkey and the practical defeat of the armed forces of the Balkan countries, the issue of Turkish aggression looks every year more and more real.

Of course, Turkey is such a step could come only with the support of the Islamic world and a demonstration in 2009, was another historic one for the event Kosovo-Saudi Arabia April 20, recognized the independence of Kosovo and in fact the policy in Kosovo became gradually a change of direction.

In fact, in this case driven by the long-standing plan to revive the Ottoman Empire, which has often been stated in Yugoslavia 90-ies and Kosovo may be the first place where he sets foot Turkish soldier as a conqueror.

This conflict became apparent, when during the riots, arranged at the border crossing Birnik in July 2011 on the Kosovo border, was burnt down border post.

The German Ambassador in the dialogue with representatives of the government of Serbia stated that the transition burned and rioted football fans from Belgrade hired by a local crime boss Zvonko Veselinovic.

The formal reason for the burning of the transition was that the new police mission EULEX (European Union rule of law mission) unilaterally transferred at this border crossing of Albanian officers of the Kosovo police service.

In fact, in this case jeopardy himself as Serb sovereignty over Kosovo and Metohija, and large-scale business, walking on the border of Serbia and Kosovo when Kosovo to Serbia had to be moved the goods without customs duties, which represented a significant part of the economy of the Serbs from North Kosovo.

The then Serbian government is obviously supportive of the riots and because the Serbs had blocked for days unhindered border crossing by placing barricades there, stayed until the beginning of 2012.

In order to "clean" roads in Northern Kosovo, the command KFOR at the direction of the UNMIK mission sent there by the German and American contingents KFOR.

Of course, the government of Serbia, which supported the Kosovo Serbs, hardly wished conflict with Cform.

As the events began to go out of control and local Serbs exchanged fire with the Americans and the Germans, the Serbian government quickly backpedaled and Serbian police arrested the organizer of the riots - of Zvonko Veselinovic and several of his employees.

It's possible that the events of Bernice and contributed to the fact that the then government of Serbia formed the Democratic party of Boris Tadic, began to lose the support of the United States.

In this case the key role was played by the political pressure that was okazano U.S. Ambassador in Serbia Mary Warlick, and not "German fascism", which continued to intimidate the Serbs of the retired employees of the Yugoslav secret services who defected to the work of journalists and analysts.

With the arrival of the new Serbian government, in which leadership roles are former functionaries of the nationalist Serbian radical party (now members of the Serbian progressive party) as members of the Socialist party of Serbia, in the course of long negotiations, Brussels has been the agreement on provision of Serbian communities in Kosovo conditional autonomy.

You can certainly condemn a step of the Serbian government that went on such negotiations, but at the same time the question arises: what allies, Serbia would count in the event of armed conflict with the Kosovo Albanians?

However this question is not rhetorical, because the mere threat of an armed conflict in the North of Kosovo has not disappeared and either way, it again will cause interference Serbia, just like the big domestic political problem for Serbia.

Such a conflict will cause an open in particular the sabotage actions of the government of Serbia, the leadership of the Autonomous region of Vojvodina, where the authorities opposed to the current government of the Democratic party. Thus, one can expect from the new last step in getting already with the support of the EU and neighbouring Hungary and Croatia all new rights, including the right of full sovereignty of Vojvodina.
