Measures shall come into force on 23/03/2018.

22/03/2018 - tramp adds to the exceptions to the measures on steel and aluminum Australia, Argentina, Korea, Brazil and the EU. Additional exclusions apply to 01/05/2018, their usefulness will be reviewed.

China intends to suspend equivalent concessions to the United States on 128 products. This is a response to section 232 measures.

26/03/2018 - USA submits a request for consultations with China regarding the practice of mandatory technology transfer. This is the first measure on the results of the section 301 investigation.

01/04/2018 - China applies tariffs at 15% for 120 goods and 25% for 8 goods from the United States for "rebalancing" of obligations in the WTO in response to section 232 measures. The measures come into force 02/04/2018.

03/04/2018 - USTR publishes for public comment a list of products from China, imports of which were up to $50 billion a year. This is the second measure on the results of the section 301 investigation.
