Humanitarian disaster in Egypt – who and why destroys material evidence of the history of the world?
Material posted: -Publication date: 07-02-2011

Recent developments in Egypt related to the wave of mass protests against the current regime, revived to life the problem of a different kind – the problem of conservation of the world heritage of ancient civilization. From the very first days of the unrest in Egypt started to receive reports that crowds of looters wielded in left unguarded excavations, robbing museums.

So, one message said that the attack of looters during the riots in Egypt were damaged about 70 exhibits the world-famous Cairo Museum, which will now have to be restored[1].

To evaluate the damage to Museum collections of Egypt, it is still impossible because of the rapidly changing situation in the country and the absence of full information, informed RIA Novosti the scientific Secretary of the egyptologic research Centre of Russian Academy of Sciences Elena Tolmacheva, recently returned from an archaeological expedition in Egypt[2].

Scientists estimate that at the moment archaeologists have studied only 30 percent of ancient ruins located on the territory of Egypt. And the more value they find, the more mysteries. And on further study of the artifacts scientists have high hopes. Scientists believe that even a modern man can learn from the ancient Egyptians[3].

Itself "date revolution" in Egypt raises many questions among experts in the study of so-called "velvet revolution", as this country – the "gateway to Africa" - and the destabilization it faces an avalanche of change throughout the African continent. In this regard, see related events in Tunisia, Egypt, South Sudan, and Yemen. Not coincidentally, U.S. President Barack Obama in one of his speeches said that Egypt will never be the same as before[4].

Undoubtedly, the future of Egypt and all of Africa are of many analysts. Unfortunately, the less public is the situation with catastrophic consequences for world civilization, which was the result of the destruction of several monuments of Egypt.

But is it really random this tragedy?

Even a shallow excursion into the recent history shows that, most likely, this situation is not accidental.

1. The history of Babylon erased tank tracks

Iraq is an ancient country, in which are monuments of culture belonging to the IV Millennium BC There is one of the shrines of Islam - the Grand mosque in the city of Samarra. In the cities of Najaf and Karbala are buried relatives of the prophet Muhammad - Imam Ali and his son Hussein. Prehistoric settlement of the ancient Iraqi capital city of Fallujah are of great scientific interest. In Nasiriyah are the 16 Royal tombs and the ruins of the historic ziggurat[5].

Even earlier, in January 2005, in mass media there was information about the barbaric attitude of the soldiers of the coalition forces to the cultural heritage of Iraq[6].

In particular, it was noted that, according to representatives of the British National Museum located at the excavation site in ancient Babylon military base of the coalition forces had caused irreparable damage to the historical monument.

According to British specialists, hundreds of subjects, whose age thousands of years, destroyed or disappeared from the excavation site. In particular, American military equipment was destroyed brick Foundation, Dating from the VII century BC. The dragons decorating the Ishtar Gate is one of the world's most famous archaeological sites, has received considerable damages. The representatives of the British Museum stated that the site disappeared a lot of ground, together with archaeological fragments. This ground soldiers filled sandbags used for temporary fortifications.

Military base on the site of ancient Babylon, located in 50 kilometers from Baghdad, was set up the US Marines, then she moved on to soldiers of the Polish contingent. According to the curator of the British Museum John Curtis (John Curtis), " is the same blasphemy as a military base near the great pyramid or Stonehenge..." (which in light of recent events in Egypt, it was almost a prophecy).

The Minister of culture of Iraq Mufid al-Jazairy (Mufeed al-Jazairee) then stated that shocked by the amount of damage caused to a historical monument. "...We expected that Babylon caused the destruction, but didn't know what they will be so significant...", he said.

In April 2005 in the Iraqi city of Samarra blown up the mosque's minaret al-Malwiya, a unique historical and cultural monument of the country. As reported in the Iraqi police, the explosion damaged the upper tier of the minaret[7].

31 July 2007, news agencies came a sad message about the destruction of the greatest monuments of human history. In Iraq near the city of Baquba (Baquba) North of Baghdad destroyed the tomb of old Testament prophet Daniel[8].

According to representatives of local authorities, the afternoon of July 29 in the area of Aghia (Vachya), where was located the ancient monument, the profits of several tens of militants who have surrounded the building with explosives. Explosion was such force that the buildings stood more than two and a half thousand years, there was only rubble. The identity of the militants destroying the tomb and the purpose of this vandalism remained unknown...

In August 2006 in the Holy Shiite Iraqi city of Najaf 160 kilometers South of Baghdad, an explosion. The attack occurred in the market near the Imam Ali mosque, killing dozens of people[9].

Imam Ali mosque, near which there was an explosion, a particularly revered, because it is the Shrine that is believed buried himself Ali - son-in-law of the prophet Muhammad and one of the four righteous caliphs.

However, the first and most terrible blow to the heritage of Iraq received in the first days of the occupation. So, many halls of the National Museum in Baghdad were destroyed by missile attacks during the war of 2003.

In the first weeks after the occupation were stolen from the Museum at least 15 thousand valuable exhibits. From the vaults disappeared thousands of invaluable historical and archaeological relics related to the ancient civilization of the Sumerians and other periods of the history of Mesopotamia. Unidentified looters looted artifacts and burned were stored in the Museum documents and inventory, and penetrated into the underground vault, where valuable relics, such as the alabaster vase Uralskaya created 5 thousand years ago, as well as the world famous sculpture "the White lady", considered to be the oldest sculptured, which was 5.5 thousand years.

The Americans and the British of course tried to organize the information cover the theft of exhibits, and announced to the media about his burning desire to fight the marauders. At a press conference in April 2003, the then-commander of U.S. troops in the Persian Gulf, General Tommy Franks told reporters that at the time managed to return to the Museum more than 100 stolen by looters of antiquities (and that's fifteen thousand!).

April 15, 2003, from messages of news agencies it became known that in Baghdad destroyed by fire books and archives of the Iraqi national library[10]. The fire not only precious books, but also the national archives containing documents of the Royal court of Iraq and the entry of the Ottoman Empire. As is often the case in Iraq, unknown persons broke into the National library and city archives of Baghdad and burned everything. The fire spread to the Library of Korans, containing the oldest and rarest editions of the Muslim Holy book.

Then, in 2003, at a meeting of experts of UNESCO it was stated that the degree of loss of cultural heritage is already "catastrophic". Many of the exhibits of the Museum and libraries are lost, probably forever. As told by HaShem Hama Abdullah, the Director of the Museum of antiquity in the city of Sulaimaniyah, "...stolen history, you lose about her performance. It's not just about the Iraqi people, but about the whole of world civilization, the cradle of which was in Mesopotamia...". The same idea was expressed by the correspondent of the British newspaper "the independent". According to him, someone wants to erase the culture and history of Iraq, reducing them to the zero point of cultural reference.

It became clear that looting and vandalism were not random. Worked here thieves who knew what they needed. Moreover, the looting of the Museum exhibition is not a new phenomenon in Iraq, said the Director of the American research Association in Baghdad Macair Gibson: " Seems that the looting was if not fully then at least partially deliberate, well-planned action, in all likelihood, those same gangs, who for the last 12 years paying for the destruction of those places where digging was done..."[11].

2. The memory of Kosovo field can be consumed in the fires of monasteries

The troops of the peacekeeping force KFOR entered Kosovo and Metohija on 13 June 1999 with the aim to ensure peace and stability for all residents of the region. During the time passed since that day, more than three hundred sixty thousand Serbs fled or were driven from their homes, several hundred people were killed or abducted by Albanian extremists last burned thousands of Serb homes.

Despite the presence of nearly forty thousand soldiers of the army of the NATO civilian mission of the UN, many humanitarian and non-governmental organizations and hundreds of journalists, a large number of Serbian Orthodox shrines, churches and monasteries, razed to the ground, looted, damaged, or ruined.

These destructive actions are not simply manifestations of personal revenge or blind anger. With each passing day it becomes increasingly clear that there is a plan that aims to permanently erase from the face of the earth traces of Serb and Christian culture in Kosovo and Metohija.

There is no doubt that in Kosovo and Metohija we conducted the targeted killing of the spiritual roots of the Serbian people: the destruction, arson, destruction of Orthodox churches and monasteries. Below are only proven facts. Data about desecrated and destroyed the monuments provided by the Raska-Prizren diocese, and the historical and architectural comments prepared by the architect prof Ljubisa Policem. Data are presented in accordance with the materials of the website of the Serbian Orthodox Church[12].

From June 1999 to may 2001 in the province of Kosovo desecrated or destroyed about one hundred Orthodox churches. Among them[13].

The monastery of the Holy Trinity XIV. located on the hill Rustica, two kilometers South of the village Musutiste. The monument is first mentioned in 1465г. Here were kept the valuable collection of manuscripts of the XIV –XVIII centuries (including handwritten Apostle XIV-XV C.) and the collection of icons of XIX century.(1868-1885гг.) In the second half of June 1999, after the arrival of the German KFOR troops, the Albanian militants destroyed the monastery and stole valuables. Valuable library, together with ancient icons were lost in the fire and in ruins.

The Church of the virgin Hodegetria (1315г.), Musutiste located in the village, about ten kilometers South-East of the town Suva reka. Dragoslava the dedicatory inscription above the entrance to the temple was included in the collection of the most beautiful and oldest monuments of Serbian epigrafica. The Church was completely blown up.

The medieval monastery of St. Mark Konisskogo stands on a rock above the river koriša, 3 km South-East of the village of koriša. The monastery Church of St. Mark (1467г.) was a single-nave building with a rectangular base. Preserved small fragments of the original frescoes. The monastery was looted, burned and destroyed by the explosion.

The monastery of the Holy Archangel Gabriel (XIV century.), known as "Banach and Bozovic", is 5 km South from town of Vitina at the source of the river sushitsa. In 1867. in this monastery was Albanians slaughtered the priest, after which the fraternity building was empty. In the beginning of XX century the monastery was restored. Were kept in the temple vessels in XIV. The temple was blasted to the ground.

The monastery of St Uros, with the Church of the Dormition was built by Queen Helena in the second half of XIV century. The monastery is located within the village of Sirenik, ORT to the West of the city Gornje Nerodimlje. Patriarch Paisius found in the monastery the relics of St. king Uros. Dates from the year 1649 the manuscript of the life of St. king, created by Patriarch paisios. At the end of June 1999, after the arrival of the American corps of KFOR, Albanian extremists blew up and destroyed the monastery.

The monastery and the Church of St. Archangel of the XIV century in the village of Upper Nerodimlje restored in 1700 the Oldest layer of frescoes dates from the XIV –XV centuries. After the arrival of the American contingent of KFOR, the Albanian extremists, the monastery was plundered, set fire and blew up. Also they cut down a giant black pine tree in 1336г. planted himself Tsar dušan. The cemetery was desecrated, tombstones thrown down and destroyed. The destruction of the temple and other acts of vandalism, clearly demonstrate the desire of the Albanians destroy Serbian roots.

3. The opening of new monuments on the background of the destruction of the former

However, as the analysis shows, in parallel to the processes of destruction of monuments testifying to some historical events, the processes of search and recovery of evidence about some other events in the history of our civilization.

At the end of December 2004, according to Israeli archaeologists, during excavations in Northern Israel, in an olive grove near Kfar Cana (Galilee), they discovered the ruins of the ancient city. Some experts felt that it is located between Nazareth and Capernaum, Cana of Galilee (Latin name Cana Galilaeae), where Christ manifested his first miracle[14].

Then several media outlets have reported that Israeli archaeologists have found the remains of the pool of Siloam in Jerusalem[15]. Here, according to tradition, Jesus performed one of the miracles - healed the blind, which he put clay on the eyes "...and said unto him, go, wash in the pool of Siloam. He went and washed, and came seeing...".

In February 2005 the world's media reported that archaeologists from the Vatican have found the tomb of St. Paul[16].

Also in 2005, but later - in April - the Foundation for the preservation of the ancient art Maecenas in Basel (Switzerland) made a sensational statement. Scientists have begun deciphering the ancient Coptic manuscript of the "gospel of Judas".

A year later, in April 2006 on the website of the National Geographic society of the USA published in the English translation the text of the “gospel of Judas”. Church tradition casual mentions about the gospel, but before the end of the twentieth century it was thought that it is irrevocably lost[17].

Researchers and translators sensational Manuscript say that “...this gospel provides quite different from the established creed in the Christian understanding of God, world, Christ, the concept of salvation, human existence, not to mention the Judas...”.

April 7, 2007, the Israeli, followed by all the world's media reported that in the vicinity of Jerusalem a group of Israeli archaeologists, led by Professor Ehud Nezer from Hebrew University discovered the tomb of king Herod. In the comments to this post mentioned that reveals the biggest mystery that occupied the minds of Israeli archaeologists. As reported by the media, Professor Netzer is the largest in Israel, a specialist on the era of Herod (ruled 40 – 4 BC). Leads the Netzer excavations at the Herodion near Jerusalem since 1972. On 7 may at a press conference held at the University, the Professor said about the grave, its exact location and discovered there an ornate sarcophagus. However, the remains of Herod was detected[18].

On 4 February 2011 it became known that as a result of excavation by Israeli archaeologists discovered the remains of the Church of the Byzantine era, which, as scientists suspect, hides the grave of the famous biblical prophet Zechariah (Zechariah)[19].

"...Researchers believe that, in light of the analysis of the sources of origin of Christianity Church in Horbat Madras is a memorial Church designed to highlight the presence of the grave of the prophet Zechariah..." – said the Management of Antiquities of Israel, in his message to news agencies. The last Hebrew prophet of the sixth century before the birth of Christ, Zechariah is associated with the book "old Testament" that is related to the four stable boys and other visions depicting the coming of God in the Scripture[20].

4. Instead of conclusion: what awaits our history?

Not only the events of recent history are full of evidence of attempts to rewrite history.

As for those places on Earth that are associated with the history of the origin and development of major world religions, they often became the objects of attention "vandals", which worked very professionally, destroying mainly the evidence that can tell researchers about different interpretations of history, rather than taken today[21].

In one of his works[22] earlier, we noted quite a strange and dangerous processes that were identified in the Western society. These developments suggest that today we talking about attempts to create a new world religion on modern principles of advertising, marketing and psychoanalysis, which will give the sponsors of this "miracle" unlimited power over converts, as all grounds and all evidence of the new flow are known in advance and calculated.

It is clear that such a project will only be successful if people's memories will be erased of the memories of the past, and this can be achieved only if there are no material evidence, reminiscent of the real, not imaginary, events of human history.

With the other new evidence (or new interpretations of known events, as happened with Judas) that will foster a new generation of believers are already new moral and ethical principles.

If you take expressed in this article version that the events in Egypt in addition to political and geopolitical consequences will be profound and historic implications, and the incident of the humanitarian catastrophe associated with the destruction of Egyptian antiquities, not merely vandalism, but a "historical and cultural terrorism", many events in recent history can be interpreted entirely differently.
