Every developed country has its own geopolitical agenda. This so-called goal state and society, his mission. As each goal is inextricably linked with the way of its implementation. To enforce its geopolitical goal of the state, first and foremost, you need to determine its development strategy, then to develop the principles and methods of implementation of its strategy and in the end to mobilize available resources to achieve this geopolitical objective. Consider the geopolitical potential of Germany, namely, analyze the resources possessed by one of the leading countries of the world from a geopolitical point of view.

An important role in the geopolitics of the playing space, in all its diversity. Germany is part of economically developed region - Western Europe and the European Union. Germany is a Maritime country. Its Northern coast is washed by the waters of the shelf seas of the Atlantic ocean, the North sea and the Baltic. The southern boundary is located in the depths of Europe, reaching the foothills of the Alps. Germany borders nine European States, including in the West — with the Netherlands (the border — 577 km), Belgium (167 km), Luxembourg (138 km) and France (451 km), on the North by Denmark (68 km). In the South of Germany bordering Switzerland (334 km) and Austria (784 km) in the East — with Poland (456 km) and the Czech Republic (646 km). Thus, Germany has a favorable geographical position and has the opportunity to build the economic, commercial, diplomatic and cultural ties with the developed countries of the world.

The availability and level of resources have a big impact on the economy. Germany, one of the top ten largest countries of Europe is not particularly rich in mineral resources, and therefore has to import most of its raw materials. The country has a developed network of navigable rivers and canals, and rational use and improvement of agricultural land allow the country not only to meet its domestic demand for basic foodstuffs (grain, sugar, oil, milk and meat) and to export the surplus. In Germany there is bituminous coal, lignite (brown coal), natural gas, iron ore, copper, Nickel, uranium, potash, salt. Oil is the most consumed energy resource in Germany. Since domestic production is negligible, a large part of crude oil is imported, as well, and many of the products of refined oil.

German landscapes are picturesque and varied. The Federal Republic of Germany has a great natural wealth. Almost a third of the territory is covered with forests. In addition, there are many lakes that make the landscape very picturesque, such as Constance lake, Starnberger see. A major transportation artery between North and South – the river Rhine.

From North to South Germany is divided into five landscape regions: the North German plain, the threshold of Medium-altitude mountains, South-West German middle mountains of folded topography, the South German foothills of the Alps and the Bavarian Alps. Coast lowlands in the North, rich with lakes and hills. The landscape of Germany is very diverse. This allows the Germans to use this fact to their own purposes, such as tourism.

Germany is one of the most densely populated countries of Europe. The population density here is 229,92 people per square kilometer. However, a characteristic feature of Germany is the heterogeneity of the distribution of residents in its territory. 31% live in cities with a population of over 100,000 inhabitants, 62 % live in towns and cities with the population from 2 000 to 100 000 people. As for religion, Christians consider themselves to be about 60% of the population. 30% of them are Roman Catholic and 34 percent Protestant. Of the Protestant churches are most popular in the German Lutheran Church. Good education and skills are important prerequisites for getting a job, so 87% of the adult population in Germany aged 25 to 64 years received a full secondary education, above the OECD average of (78%). Thus, it can be noted that the intellectual and spiritual condition of the population of Germany forms a quite strong frame of society, which also has a beneficial effect on the achievement of the geopolitical goals of the state.

With regard to communication of opportunities, Germany is where to turn. Main trading partners Germany, France, USA, UK, Netherlands, Italy. These five countries account for over 40% of German trade. Germany - the main trading partner for Russia, accounting for 10-12% of Russia's trade turnover. By the way, logistics is the exemplary industry of the German economy. Main article German exports - cars and parts (19,1%), cars (over 14%), chemical products, communications equipment, radio and television apparatus, electronic components, electrical products, metallurgic industry (over 50%). Main articles German import of chemical products (10.6 per cent), automobiles and parts (10.2 percent), machinery (7%), communications equipment, radio and television apparatus, oil and gas (over 75%). Also the door with the leading countries gives Germany an opportunity to build diplomatic, economic and trade relations.

So, summarizing all the above, we note that Germany is included into group of leaders of the global political space. Germany has an enormous geopolitical potential. Having considered only some aspects, it is safe to say that this mighty power has absolutely all the resources for the successful implementation of its geopolitical interests on the world stage.
