Recall that the Yamal LNG on 5 December began production on the first production line design capacity of 5.5 million tons of LNG per year. OAO "Yamal LNG" implements the project of construction of plant on production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) resource base of the Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye field. Shareholders of OJSC "Yamal LNG" are OJSC "NOVATEK" (50,1%), Total (20%), CNPC (20%), silk Road Fund (9,9%).
The project involves the drilling of 208 wells at 19 well cluster. The gas produced at the field will be supplied to the international market in the form of LNG, which will build a gas liquefaction plant consisting of three production lines with a productivity of 5.5 million tons of LNG per year each.
Infrastructure for LNG exports will consist of shipping trestle, two berths in the port of Sabetta equipped nedosushennye structures. For transporting LNG will be used by tankers with ice class Arc7.
Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YANAO) Dmitri Kobylkin in comments to journalists said that the liquefied natural gas the fuel of the future. "Christophe de Margerie" is the first in a series of 15 Arctic ice-breaking LNG carriers ordered for the service of the project "Yamal LNG" and year-round transportation of LNG in harsh ice conditions of the Kara sea and Ob Bay.
